Ivy leaf baby

Did you know that ivy plays an important role in providing food and shelter for wildlife?

We can find ivy on any woodland walk, at anytime of year, but as it is an evergreen I do notice it more in the Autumn and Winter.

Ivy is imbedded into many cultural traditions around the world. In Ancicent Rome Ivy was seen as a symbol of intellectual achievement and in Britain, during winter, sprigs were brought into houses to keep evil spirits at bay.

The little Itty Bitty Baby is safely nestled inside a 100% wool felt leaf sleeping pod. She pops out and is made from soft cotton velour. Her head is a wool ball, covered in skin coloured cotton interlock and with carefully hand drawn details.

This simple doll is designed to inspire hours of nature play.

The tiny doll is approximately 6.5 cm (2.5") tall, the ivy leaf is approximately 11.5 cm (4.5") tall.
